Shoppers Drug Mart Lied To Me.

Shoppers Drug Mart at Dundas& Sumac insists I picked up my prescription on Sat.Aug.28th at 10.18 am.This is total and utter *** In the first place I don't get washed and dressed until 10.00am on Saturdays. So it would have been impossible for me to be at the store at 10.00 an to pick it up.

I did not have someone else pick it up nor did I have it delivered. Now today they told me perhaps it was canceled.

The issue has been resolved ...sort of.I had to write Shoppers Drug Mart Head Office with my complaint. I did not receive another Amazon gift card, but they will send me a Shoppers Drug card gift card of equal value.

They even suggested that I use their gift card to purchase another Amazon card (that will NEVER happen) I'm pleased that there was an investigation, which is what I wanted.

I'm upset that I had to go this route when it could have been resolved sooner. I know that they had hoped I would give up, but I have learned my lesson, I will never purchase any more gift card from Shoppers Drug Mart.

On 5 May 2024, I purchased a $100.00 Amazon gift card for my son's birthday. When I purchased the card, two other cards were a scam, as the clerk said I should get another one.

According to her, the one I purchased was okay. When my son went to redeem the card on Amazon, it said it was already redeemed. I contacted Shoppers and provided the required proof of purchase. I received an email saying that they contacted their third party and was told that the card was redeemed; there are no issues, the case is closed, and I can contact Amazon if I have further issues.

At this time, I am trying to get either a replacement or my money back with Amazon, which is not guaranteed. Amazon was not pleased, as they felt that Shoppers should have followed up.

I bought two bottles of Alyssa Ashley Musk and the total cost was 94.90 in March/24 I buy it all the time and use it every day but the one bottle has only a quarter of the bottle gone and the sprayer has stopped working and I took it back and they wont exchange it because it has been over 30 days. I dont know any one that uses a bottle of musk that fast I dont bath in it I just spray it on me daily and this bottle when the sprayer is working will probably last me another six months or more.

It is too expensive to just throw away and when I told them I wont shop there any more the manager just smiled and told me that is more than fine with her. Shoppers on Main and Sherman in Hamilton Ontario

Impossible Customer Service

I used their online booking portal to schedule a vaccination during my week off work. I arrived at the pharmacy as scheduled for my service, only to learn that I needed a prescription for this vaccination.

One of the questions I answered when scheduling this service was whether or not I had a prescription. I selected no but was still permitted to book the vaccination.

When I tried to contact anyone about this issue, I was redirected multiple times to various different extensions. All I wanted to do was alert tech support of a possible glitch in their online booking portal, but apparently, I should not have bothered considering how much effort it required.

A year ago I had the same issue with another person who is now not there had some man off the streets go thru my purse accusing me of stealing and making a huge scene in front of several people from our community and I list several clients from that ordeal anf I had stolen nothing it was wall because I left my bank card at home and I had to move fromSelf checkout to full service because of self checkout is card only so she claimed I was playing a game which it was a honest mistake I simply forgot my card at home on counter The thing that sucks is we only have one shoppers druggmart in our small town and that’s where my meds are and because I’m on suboxen they judge me and think I’m a theif.

I'd like to lodge a complaint about Natasha Macentee in Blenheim, Ontario. She has accused me of stealing twice now, but I have never stolen anything.

I pay for all items I purchase from all stores. The employees also follow me around as if I am a movie star every time I'm there, but it doesn't make me feel good. I feel embarrassed and violated. Additionally, I am trying to run a small business in this small town and every time she does this, it looks terrible.

If someone sees this, I lose clients. Something needs to be done about this issue as I have done nothing wrong to warrant this type of treatment.

This is my second gift card I bought from shoppers drug Mart and the first one they took all my information. They told me I had to call Apple.

I called Apple back they told him I need an Apple account which I don't have. That's why I went to shoppers to go get a gift card.

This would be $5,000 worth of gift cards I got from you guys and these are two cars $100 and a $50 card now that's been screwed up. I am not a happy camper

Fraudulent gift cards

Stay away and don't buy any gift cards from Shoppers Drug Mart. They are at the front of the store, unattended, and as we found out, fraudulent.

When you phone customer service, they tell you 'the card has been redeemed and that is your problem'. Yes, redeemed by the scammers. This has been reported to Amazon. Stay away and don't buy any gift cards from Shoppers Drug Mart.

Ok so bought a gift card from you 'r shoppers drug Mart and it was apple gift card it was for cancer patient that I wanted to buy him a Christmas gift but not to my surprised didn't work so I contacted the customer service department and told them everything and showed them proof just to get a response of I'm sorry can't help you because our partners said it was already redeem will no no kidding if they did there jobs at all they would have know it was redeem not by us so this a scam or fraud so I. Asking for ,y money that was either stolen or taken from 9 year old stage 4 brain cancer patient how do you sleep at night this company disgust me

Incident at 6951 Derry Road, Milton, ON - Shoppers Pharmacy

I am actually appalled and what I encountered today at this location in Milton. I have had multiple issues in the past but this has just gone way too far..

I have picked up my prescriptions from this location for close to 2 years, and the only reason I have not switched, is because it's so closed to home. I picked up my prescription for an antibiotic I have never used before On January 12th. Any other time I have picked up medication that is new to my file, the pharmacist in ANY location has given me possible side effects and how to properly take the medication. I was handed my prescription, and the associate walked away without saying anything..

I called to her and asked "are there any side effects? any restrictions with this medication? I don't know how this will react with my regular daily meds?" She looked at the pharmacist and said "What do I tell her?" Not sure what the pharmacist said, but she responded with "It's okay, just take it with food" Ok. If the pharmacist says it's all fine, and just to take it with food, I'll do just that.

Come to find out this kind of antibiotic can have terrible side effects. I developed an awful yeast infection, so my health practitioner suggested to see the shopper's pharmacist since she did not have any available appointments for the next week, as you can have them prescribe you things for minor illnesses. It was just that, minor but important and uncomfortable. Also a lot quicker than waiting for my symptoms to worsen while waiting for an appointment.

I booked an appointment for January 17th at 4:25pm.

Your online forum allows for patients to visit the pharmacist for a prescription/assessment for minor illnesses. With the embarrassment and discomfort I am already feeling, I go in for my scheduled appointment time at 4:25 and am ignored until 4:30 and I interrupt 2 assistants talking with each other to inquire about my appt. The pharmacist looked confused and had to ask another member of the team what I was talking about. He proceeds to pull my information and take my health card at the consultation desk.

Now, in my experience, when you consult the pharmacist In general ways, ie. asking a question about your medication etc, its rather open but that's because you're not discussing your persona health, rather important information about the medication you are given. (I have not received that courtesy as I mentioned) The gentleman I spoke with openly asked me what I was there for although my appointment would say what I booked for.. Again, already embarrassed I explained I was reacting my amoxicillin because that was easier for me to say than I've got a bad yeast infection from taking antibiotics and Canesten isnt working Despite not being too busy, there were still enough people around - and I shouldnt have to disclose that kind of information so openly, not to mention how inappropriate it is to feel exposed.

I don't recall having to disclose my medical concerns with my doctor in the waiting area. He then starts to ask me private questions! So my response was Are you going to ask me these things out in the open like this? He says Oh?

Do You want to go into the private room? I respond with Thats probably best!!! He takes me into the office which is an absolute disaster so I blatantly tell him Ive developed these symptoms because at this point, I'm embarrassed, I'm speaking with a male pharmacist with 0 information on women's health, or proper patient care. I think its a yeast infection, and my nurse practitioner said the same.

Since she doesnt have any appointments, she recommended I see you which is close to home. He responded I cant prescribe you anything. You need to see your family doctor After back and forth trying to understand why he couldnt help me, when I specifically booked for a yeast infection consult with the pharmacy, I left angry, embarrassed, and ashamed. I have never felt less important in the health care system and customer service in my life.

I have never felt so embarrassed, and exposed like that. Given my chronic anxiety issues, which I have been prescribed medication for, I went home and had a panic attack after trying to google a solution for my problem... not to mention I had to do my research on the antibiotics I was given, instead of a trained professional providing proper information.

Not to mention you can never get ahold of this pharmacy because the employees are always standing around gossiping rather than helping the phone ringing off the hook, or the 10 people in line. Several employees in customer service had hung up on me when I had been desperately trying to get a hold of the pharmacy, and when you walk in because no one answering the phone, there are 10 people in line, and the pharmacist assistants are gossiping with each other, and not supporting each other to help people quicker.

Then when you ask them what the hold up is, the response is "We are understaffed".

That excuse only goes so far when I see plenty of staff, with a lack of organization. This pharmacy has put my prescriptions on hold without notice, not contacted me, and shown a perfect example of a lack of professionalism.

Before I pursue matters legally and further, I look forward to your prompt response.

Prescription insuance refusel

I tried to refill my mandatory mental health prescriptions, only for the pharmacist, Diane, at the New Westminster Skytrain station Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy to tell me that my medication is not covered. She did this by checking with the wrong insurance plan and made me call them myself instead of her making the phone call herself.

I've been a shoppers customer for over 40 years. I'm insulin-dependent, when I was young my mom would pick up my prescriptions at the shoppers in our neighbourhood.

since moving out i have continued to work with Shoppers drugmarts in Toronto, Markham, Newmarket and Now, Richmond hill. The Shoppers on yonge street in Richmond Hill is by far the worst drugstore i have ever dealt with, full of incompetent or untrained people as well as managers and Pharmacists that do not care. Google that location and you'll see their google rating is 2.8, frankly i don't understand how it's that high. My wife and i argue over whose turn it is to go pick prescriptions because there's a problem and headache every single time.

The only reason we go there is because it's 7 mins from our home. Two weeks ago, the pharmacy offered to deliver a prescription needed by my son while my wife and i were at work, which was great. However, I received a call after they said they would deliver it, telling me they can't deliver because there is a $1 balance owed due to shoppers increasing their dispensing fee. They charge 12.99 and my insurance only covers 11.99...

Last week it was my turn to pick up prescriptions and low and behold they wanted to charge me $1 for each prescription. That pharmacy has done nothing in 8 years to earn an extra dollar out of my pocket, i refuse to pay it on principal. If need be I will transfer the prescriptions for my family of 6 to another drug store with normal dispensing fees.

Today I called the customer support line for shoppers to tell them what happened and why I was leaving after 40 years. I was told I needed to deal with the pharmacy directly for an issue with their dispensing fee.

i let the support line know i had already done that and as usual no one cared. I asked if there is a corporate office or anyway i could speak to a manager that the pharmacist/owner reports to, Shoppers must take issue with locations being run by incompetent people and with customers leaving to go to another drug store.

However the customer support line could not give me the ph# or an email for the corporate office, they said they don't have it themselves to give out. So here I am, on the Corporate website and there is no way to contact them.

Shoppers you are ridiculous, and you have lost a 40 year customer
